Germany Uses a Different Calendar

Oktoberfest, which is held, strangely, ending the first week of October, and starting in September.  Thus the name.

Both of the authors of this blog have been to it.  One of us was born in Germany, and is thus a German dual citizen, and the others' family (part of it) moved from Germany to the US before WWII.

Let me assure you, beer does indeed run like water in the streets of Germany most of the time, but absolutely during Oktoberfest.

For you to be able to find the  Malfunction in this addition of "What's the malfunction?" you will need to know that Germany and the US, as well as most of the western world, have been using the same calendar, called the Gregorian Calendar, for over 500 years.  Finally, what we call October, the Germans call der Oktober. The only difference between the two, other than spelling, because it is a different language, and pronunciation, is that in German there is a gender, this one being male.  Yes, in Germany, October is male, for what it is worth.

Ok ... if you see the malfunction in this photo, taken in NY, where they also use the same calendar, leave a message, or a laugh.
