New Use for Children Discovered in New England

To appreciate this picture, and the hidden humor, we have to tell you about a story we read in New England Magazine a few years ago.  They had a feature story about Mystic CT, and their still active fishing industry.  The article was explaining the difficulty the fishing industry was having in general, and in particular, how difficult it was to not be a tourist industry in Mystic.

During an interview with someone involved with the commercial fishing business there, a question was asked about how they handled the huge number of tourists floating all over the commercial part of the harbor.  The person being interviewed answered, "Not a problem. We look at them (Kayak) as 'Speed Bumps.' "

This closed community evidently has a similar solution when it comes to children.
